These, while no doubt taken and uploaded in good faith, do not seem to be in scope for Commons. They are "personal images", with little scope for reuse on any Wikimedia project.

Hello User:Pigsonthewing, thank you for reviewing the files and raising this concern. These images are my own work. I personally captured them during Wikimania. While the camera device belongs to [[User:Gnoeee|Jinoy], I was the one operating it and taking the photographs over the course of the event.

I would like to clarify that these images are part of event documentation from Wikimania, and were taken with the intention of capturing different aspects of the event, including participants, volunteers, and operational roles such as security personnel. (I took more than 300 images and I am still gradually.)

While many of the images feature people, they are not intended as personal photographs but as documentation of community participation and the overall environment of a global Wikimedia event. Such images can support:

  • illustrating event-related pages
  • documenting community diversity and engagement
  • providing visual context of how large-scale Wikimedia events are organised

I understand the concern about scope, and I am happy to improve file descriptions, captions, and categorisation to better highlight their educational and documentary value.

Kindly let me know if all images need better context (if the title or some of the terms need to be changed) or if there are particular concerns I should address. (I tried to write to the discussion page, but it refers to the main page only to write.)

    In my view, files like "Elena" , above, show the crew at work and may be keepable; posed images like "Lee" and "Slav" are personal images, with no documentary purpose.     A lot of volunteer photos are posed, is there really a policy on posed images? I would say all group photos would fall under "posed images". Files from events are explicitly allowed Project scope § File in use on Commons only (even when not otherwise INUSE).
    I think based on COM:DIGNITY one might ponder if images that are not posed are OK. So perhaps some images from the back should be removed. E.g.:

    From what I can gather, the people appearing in these photographs are outside security contractors who were (presumably) hired for the event - they are not Wikimedia employees or community members. Like Andy, I fail to see any realistic use for portraits of these people, beyond possibly some photos like "Elena ... 03" above which specifically show them actively working at the event (i.e. not just posing for the camera).
