Вместе с хребтом Абишира-Ахуба на востоке, является частью Передового хребта Большого Кавказа. Загеданский хребет сложен плотными известняками и доломитами нижнемелового и верхнеюрского периодов, с преобладанием карстовых форм рельефа, с обилием карров, пещер, воронок, провалов, подземных рек и озер. Кавказские горы, Карачаево-Черкесия, Западный Кавказ, Россия.
